I believe this will be the final blow to #US #bigtech and #nvidia that sends a chilling effect through the entire #it #AI industry whether or not the charges are valid. When you're deploying hardware the last thing you want to worry about is if there are "illegal embargoed Nvidia GPUs" in your #deployment. #China has started making competing #GPUs and as they continue to improve, many markets will move to their hardware just as #Huawei hardware has gained.

#OpenClaw is now available on the Chinese chat platform #wechat. If #OpenClaw an #AI #agent has control of someone's device, how do we know if what they send is accurate, true and intended? Worse yet, of course #OpenClaw may leak sensitive information. I see this issue as something that will probably need some kind of regulation or declaration (eg. message produced by #AI). I am hearing lots of #foreigners #business owners and other #professionals are leaving #Japan. I would like to take an #ICT #hightech #htp #tech position to mark #internationalwomensday and relate it to back home. I find in places like #Hongkong #China and the #Gulf #UAE #Dubai I have seen so many more #women in tech. I will give one example at a high-tech firm in Dubai, the majority of the workers were women.

I hope we can bring this trend back to the #West #Canada because this is where the growth in the job market will be for the long-term.

#openclaw #ai #artificialintelligence #cybersecurity makes me not want to install OpenClaw on anything that is not public facing. There are too many unknowns and risks, whether data is exchanged from OpenClaw that shouldn't be, if it accesses data/files you don't want it to, and shares say your private keys with the world. These tools have their places, but I find it concerning people just give it full root access to their whole life when it is still experimental.
